DJ Akademiks Mocks Klay Thompson’s Meal

It seems DJ Akademiks couldn’t resist weighing in on the heartwarming Thanksgiving feast prepared by Megan Thee Stallion for Klay Thompson and his family. While the gesture was a sweet display of affection, Akademiks decided to troll the NBA star with a rather pointed remark.

A “Bench Player Nutrients” Jab

As Megan Thee Stallion shared a video detailing her culinary efforts – including turkey, dressing, and macaroni – DJ Akademiks took to X (formerly Twitter) to comment. He wrote, “Bench player nutrients,” a jab clearly aimed at Klay Thompson’s role on the team.

In the video, Megan, also known as Thee Hot Girl Coach, expressed her nervousness about cooking for Klay and his family, hoping they would love her “Southern thing” dressing and her “BBL” turkey. Her playful tone highlighted the personal significance of the meal.

Fans Defend the Couple

The internet, however, wasn’t entirely on Akademiks’ side. Many fans jumped into the replies to defend both Megan and Klay. One user expressed growing admiration for Megan, while another retorted to Akademiks, “You couldn’t even make it to a bench of any kind,” highlighting his own perceived shortcomings.

Klay and Megan’s Relationship Milestones

This Thanksgiving meal comes after Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson confirmed their relationship over the summer. They made their red carpet debut at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in July and have since been seen together frequently, sharing their relationship on social media.

Klay has shown his affection for Megan in various ways, including naming his boat the “S.S. Stallion” after her. This gesture followed a strong performance where he scored 23 points, including six three-pointers, in the Dallas Mavericks’ win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

A Sweet Gesture Amidst the Noise

Despite DJ Akademiks’ trolling, Megan Thee Stallion’s Thanksgiving feast for Klay Thompson and his family remains a sweet testament to their growing relationship. It highlights a personal connection beyond the court and the spotlight, even as public figures continue to comment.
