Epstein Survivor on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago ‘Arrangement’

As survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring await the potential release of FBI files, one survivor has shared a difficult account of her experiences, including attending parties at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. Sharlene Rochard’s testimony touches on the complex and often harrowing realities faced by victims.

Struggles with Testimony at Mar-a-Lago

During an interview on MS NOW’s “The Briefing with Jen Psaki,” Rochard recounted attending numerous parties at Mar-a-Lago when she was a teenager and a victim of Epstein’s abuse. These events were reportedly set up by various magazines, and attendees would travel via limousine. When asked directly if Donald Trump was aware of any ‘arrangement’ during these gatherings, Rochard expressed significant difficulty in answering.

After a noticeable pause, Rochard stated, “Um…I don’t know if he was aware…actually, I can’t answer that, sorry.” She then turned to fellow survivor Amanda Roberts, visibly struggling with the line of questioning. This hesitation highlights the immense pressure and potential fear survivors may face when discussing powerful figures involved in the case.

Broader Trafficking and Fear of Litigation

Psaki broadened the scope of the questioning, asking Rochard if she was trafficked to other individuals. Rochard, appearing worried, explained that “Terrible things had happened to me within my time with — dealing with Jeffrey Epstein. I had encounters with people that I would rather not have.” Roberts encouraged her to answer truthfully, reminding her she didn’t have to name names if she wasn’t comfortable.

Many of Epstein’s survivors, who were minors at the time of their abuse, have voiced concerns about speaking out due to fear of litigation from influential individuals connected to the case. This fear underscores the ongoing challenges survivors face in seeking justice and full disclosure.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act and Political Pressure

President Trump is expected to sign the Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bill passed by Congress that aims to compel the full release of FBI files related to Epstein’s crimes. However, the White House has not yet specified a signing date. Despite a campaign promise to release these files, Trump has reportedly slowed the process, especially after his name appeared in documents from Epstein’s estate. His administration’s Department of Justice had previously issued a memo stating the files would not be publicly released.

In recent weeks, Trump has referred to the Epstein controversy as a “hoax” orchestrated by Democrats and has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Epstein’s connections with other high-profile figures. Despite his past friendship with Epstein, Trump has consistently denied any knowledge of or involvement in Epstein’s sex crimes.
