Scholarship & College Readiness Applications Open

Exciting news for high school juniors! The Students Without Mothers (SWM) organization has officially opened applications for their scholarship and college readiness programs. This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are navigating their high school journey without the presence of their mothers.

Who Can Apply?

The application window is open from now until January 31, 2026. This opportunity is specifically for current high school juniors who are on track to graduate in the Spring of 2027. If you or someone you know fits this description and has experienced the loss of a mother due to death or other difficult circumstances, this program could be a perfect fit.

More Than Just Financial Aid

Since its founding in 2004, Students Without Mothers has been dedicated to supporting students. They have already provided 130 students with four-year scholarships, each valued at $4,000, distributed as $1,000 annually. But SWM’s commitment goes beyond financial assistance.

Each student in the program also receives valuable life coaching and grief counseling services. To further support their academic journey, they are also provided with a laptop computer. The organization’s core mission is to empower these students to help themselves succeed.

Students Without Mothers proudly serves the expansive 21-County Metro Atlanta Area. This includes counties such as Barrow, Bartow, Butts, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Newton, Paulding, Pickens, Rockdale, Spalding, and Walton.
