It seems the rap world is heating up, and Rick Ross is adding fuel to the fire! The Miami heavyweight has responded to Drake’s recent diss track, “Make Them Pay,” which appears to take aim at Ross, Pusha T, and J. Cole. Drake even threw in a mention of streamer Adin Ross, which Rick Ross seemed to find amusing.
Ross’s Blunt Take on Drake’s Album
Instead of sounding rattled, Rick Ross took to Instagram Stories to share his reaction, reading comments about Drake’s new album. He didn’t mince words, calling the project “three mid projects” and suggesting Drake was “washed.” Ross seemed to find the situation almost comical, referencing comments about Drake committing “suicide” and potentially retiring.
He playfully mocked Drake’s bars, saying, “Come on guys, stop. Let’s all leave little mans alone now, man. He did it, he dropped three mid projects.” This dismissive approach suggests Ross feels unfazed by Drake’s lyrical jabs.
Emotional Reactions and Lawsuits
During a recent appearance on the PBD Podcast, Ross elaborated on his thoughts, touching on how artists react when they feel personally attacked. “When you diss certain people and they can’t deal with it emotionally, they’re embarrassed. They’re humiliated. That’s when they sue all of these people,” he stated, hinting at Drake’s history of legal actions.
Ross also shared anecdotes about people in his circle listening to Drake’s new material. According to him, enthusiasm quickly faded. “By the fifth song, they came out, they was like, ‘Damn, this s–t wack,’” he recounted. He even poked fun at Drake’s singing style with a sarcastic rendition of a lyric.
The Ongoing Rap Dialogue
This exchange highlights the dynamic and often confrontational nature of hip-hop rivalries. Rick Ross’s sharp critique and dismissive attitude towards Drake’s latest work certainly add another layer to their ongoing musical dialogue.
