Even while serving time, Sean “Diddy” Combs isn’t backing down from legal battles. The music mogul is gearing up for a significant courtroom showdown, formally demanding a jury trial in a massive $20 million lawsuit filed against him.
The $20 Million Allegations
The lawsuit was initiated by Clayton Howard, a former escort who claims he was involved in years of alleged sexual encounters with both Combs and singer Cassie. Howard’s legal team filed court documents in California federal court, officially requesting that a jury be the ones to decide the outcome of the case.
Howard first brought his claims forward in July 2025. He alleges that Cassie initially connected with him around 2009 through an escort service. The lawsuit further claims that she then involved him in what he describes as years of paid encounters with Diddy.
Aliases and Accusations
According to the suit, Howard alleges that Diddy used the alias “Frank Black” during some of these alleged interactions. Cassie is also accused of using different names to maintain her privacy throughout these alleged encounters. Howard has also leveled serious accusations against Cassie, claiming she gave him an STD and later became pregnant with his child before terminating the pregnancy without his knowledge.
Outside of the legal filings, Howard has continued to speak publicly about his allegations. He has previously expressed his intention to pursue law school, indicating a deep engagement with the legal system surrounding his claims.
Diddy’s Current Legal Standing
This legal battle unfolds while Diddy is currently serving time at Fort Dix. He is appealing a 2025 federal conviction on two Mann Act charges, which resulted in a 50-month prison sentence. The demand for a jury trial in the $20 million lawsuit shows that despite his incarceration, Combs and his associated companies, CeOpco LLC and Bad Boy Entertainment LLC, are actively preparing to defend themselves in court.
