Eiffel Tower’s Vertigo Bridge Returns: Walk 200 Feet High!

Get ready to steady your nerves, Paris! The Eiffel Tower has brought back a thrilling, limited-time attraction that offers a completely new perspective on one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. For the second year running, visitors can experience the “Vertigo of the Tower,” a nearly 200-foot-high suspension bridge that’s not for the faint of heart.

A Walk Among the Clouds

From March 17th, Eiffel Tower ticket holders have the chance to walk across this incredible structure. Spanning 131 feet long and soaring 197 feet high, the suspension bridge connects the tower’s east and west pillars, sitting level with its first floor. It’s officially the highest suspension bridge in an urban setting in all of France!

Constructed from two layers of knotted nets secured by parallel and lateral cables, the bridge offers unparalleled, breathtaking aerial views of Paris. Imagine gazing out over the City of Light and City of Love from this unique vantage point – it’s an unforgettable experience, perfect for creating lasting memories, especially with a significant other.

Planning Your Visit

The Vertigo of the Tower is available until May 3rd. Operating hours vary: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and during French school holidays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Keep in mind there’s a daily closure for maintenance between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., and the bridge may temporarily close during inclement weather.

Access to the suspension bridge is included free with your Eiffel Tower ticket. Once you reach the first floor, you’ll need to register for a reservation, with time slots available in 15, 30, 45, or 60-minute intervals. For safety, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and high heels are not permitted on the netted walkway. Travelers using wheelchairs or walking aids will unfortunately not be able to access the bridge.
