It sounds like something straight out of a movie, but authorities are alleging a disturbing pattern of deception. A viral OnlyFans model, identified as 28-year-old Adva Lavie, also known by her online persona Mia Ventura, is facing serious felony charges. Prosecutors claim she used dating apps to build trust with victims before allegedly stealing from their homes.
A Pattern of Deception and Theft
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Lavie allegedly targeted wealthy older men and younger women across affluent areas of Los Angeles, including Westlake Village, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills, between 2023 and 2025. The alleged modus operandi involved posing as a girlfriend or travel companion to gain access to victims’ residences.
Once inside, prosecutors claim she made off with cash, gold, and high-end designer items. This alleged scheme highlights a concerning exploitation of trust built through online relationships.
Podcast Host’s Experience Gains Attention
The case gained significant public attention after podcast host Michael Sartain shared his own alleged experience. Sartain told KTLA that during a live election night broadcast, Lavie reportedly disappeared into a greenroom for about 45 minutes. During that time, he claims she went through personal belongings in attendees’ bags.
Felony Charges and Legal Proceedings
As a result of the investigation, Lavie has been charged with six felonies, including charges of grand theft and residential burglary. District Attorney Nathan Hochman stated, “This ruling means the evidence in this case will now be presented before a jury. At her trial, we will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this defendant exploited trust built through online relationships to gain access to victims’ homes and steal from them.”
Lavie has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently out of custody, reportedly wearing an ankle monitor. She is scheduled to appear back in court on April 6.
