Yung Miami Defends Diddy Support Letter: “He Was Changed”

Following the high-profile federal trial involving Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Yung Miami is addressing her decision to write a letter of support for him to the judge before his sentencing. While Diddy was ultimately sentenced to four years for transporting sex workers, he was acquitted of sex trafficking and criminal enterprise charges. Throughout the trial, Diddy denied all accusations.

Her Personal Experience with Diddy

During a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, Yung Miami explained her perspective to Charlamagne Tha God. She stated that her personal interactions led her to believe Diddy had changed. “I think that the man that I met and that I experienced was changed,” Miami shared.

She emphasized that her letter was based solely on her own experiences and that she cannot speak to accusations she wasn’t a part of. “I felt like the person that I met was changed. It was a different experience, so that’s why I wrote the letter,” she explained. “I can’t speak to nothing that I don’t know of. I can only speak to the person that I met.”

The Cost of Her Support

Yung Miami acknowledged that her public support for Diddy came at a cost, impacting brand deals, public perception, and fan support. However, she maintained that her decision was about protecting her peace and doing what felt right for her own life and understanding of the situation.

“You gotta look back and say, like, ‘What makes sense for me right now?’” she explained. “I can love this person, but I can love this person from a distance… I think that this was one of those situations.”

Standing By Her Feelings

Ultimately, Yung Miami is standing firm on her feelings and her decision. She made it clear that while others may disagree, her actions were based on her personal relationship and experiences with Diddy, whom she described as someone who changed her life, helped her grow, and treated her with respect.
