LaRussell Deactivates Accounts After Hitler Lyric Backlash

California rapper LaRussell has deactivated all his social media accounts following intense backlash for lyrics that controversially suggested Adolf Hitler, Donald Trump, and Jeffrey Epstein were ‘heaven-sent.’ The situation escalated after the rapper doubled down on his statements, defending his artistic expression.

The Controversial Lyrics Emerge

The controversy began around March 14, 2026, when LaRussell shared a video of himself performing a new song. He admitted his engineer had warned him against releasing it due to its sensitive content, particularly mentioning Epstein. LaRussell, however, felt compelled to release it, stating his goal as an artist is to speak out and not be silenced.

In the performance clip, LaRussell rapped: “Even the devil was heaven-sent / Even Malcom [X] was heaven-sent / Even Martin [Luther King Jr.] was heaven-sent / Even Kanye [West] was heaven-sent / We all heaven-sent / Donald, too / We all heaven-sent / Epstein, too / We all heaven-sent / Adolf, too / We all heaven-sent / Even you / We all heaven-sent.”

Defending His Art

Initially, LaRussell stood firm, releasing multiple videos to address what he called ‘fake outrage.’ He argued that people were selectively outraged, pointing to the community’s long-standing acceptance of various harmful figures and actions. He questioned why his statement about God creating everyone, including ‘sick a** n***as,’ crossed a line when other detrimental art forms are consumed.

He passionately stated, ‘If you gone be outraged be outraged about it all! TURN THE MURDER MUSIC OFF AND EVERY OTHER DETRIMENTAL FORM OF ART YOU CONSUME! I’M ONE OF THE FEW N****S IN THIS SH*T SMILING AND PUTTING GOOD INTO THE ECOSYSTEM! IMA KEEP SAYING AND DOING WHAT I WANT WITH MY ART. BECAUSE IMA F***IN ARTIST! Y’ALL CAN KEEP BEING FAKE OUTRAGED AND COMPLICIT WITH EVERYTHING ELSE.’

Social Media Deactivation

Despite his defense, the backlash intensified. By March 19, LaRussell apparently reached his limit and deactivated all his social media accounts. This move came shortly after he reportedly signed with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation and performed at the Super Bowl LX tailgate in February, marking a significant moment in his career prior to this controversy.
