Kim Kardashian is shedding more light on the painful aftermath of her 2016 Paris robbery, and it turns out the betrayal cut deeper than just the physical trauma. On a recent episode of “The Kardashians,” Kim revealed that her ex-husband, Kanye West, accused her of faking the entire incident for a TV show, a claim that deeply wounded her.
A ‘Knife to the Heart’
During the episode, Kim returned to Paris to testify in the trial against the ten individuals involved in the robbery. While there, she addressed the lingering skepticism surrounding the event, specifically calling out her former spouse. “My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” Kim shared tearfully in a confessional.
She continued, expressing the profound hurt caused by his disbelief: “That was a knife to my heart. Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you — that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life — it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”
Seeking Closure and Facing Doubts
Kim and Kanye were married when the robbery occurred, though they later divorced in 2021. While Kanye initially rushed to her side upon her return to the U.S., his later public statements cast doubt on the legitimacy of the traumatic event. For Kim, testifying in court offered a chance for closure. “To finally be able to go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, I’m like, see, guys. It was real…I’m happy it’s over,” she stated.
Challenges of Co-Parenting
The episode also touched upon the difficulties Kim faces in co-parenting with Kanye. She admitted to Scott Disick that the relationship is “frustrating” and that she often feels like “snapping” due to Ye questioning her character as a mother. Despite her efforts to encourage a healthy relationship between Kanye and their four children—North (12), Chicago (7), Saint (9), and Psalm (6)—she claims he has never once called.
Kim emphasized that her primary focus remains on being a strong presence for her children, choosing not to engage with her ex-husband’s public behavior for their sake. “I just can’t really engage. I think it’s just for the better,” she concluded.
