Get ready, Atlanta! The Grind Pretty Fest is making its much-anticipated return with an “ATL Remix” edition on Saturday, June 6, 2026. This dynamic festival is more than just an event; it’s a full-day immersion into entrepreneurship, culture, wellness, and community, designed specifically to uplift and empower women.
A Day of Business, Culture, and Community
Founded by media entrepreneur Mimi Johnson, Grind Pretty Fest promises a packed schedule from 12:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Cultural Arts Center. Attendees can expect engaging panel discussions, opportunities to connect with women-owned businesses, rejuvenating wellness experiences, and crucial grant funding opportunities. The festival aims to create a safe and empowering space for women at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey.
This year’s festival will tackle three critical topics impacting today’s entrepreneurs: The AI Effect in Media, The Pressure to Perform, and The Power of the Pivot. These conversations, featuring insights from media executives, entrepreneurs, wellness leaders, athletes, and creatives, are designed to provide practical strategies that attendees can implement immediately.
Funding and Support for Women Entrepreneurs
Beyond inspiration and networking, Grind Pretty Fest is committed to providing tangible resources. Through its nonprofit organization, Grind For Good 501(c)(3), three women-owned businesses will receive $1,000 grants. These include the Corporate Grant for professional development, the Idea Pitch Grant for early-stage businesses, and the Elevator Pitch Grant for scaling companies. Grant applications close May 30, 2026, and require festival attendance.
The festival also supports an emergency relief initiative via Grind For Good, aimed at assisting women in media and entertainment facing layoffs and financial instability. This focus on real-world impact sets Grind Pretty Fest apart from typical social media-driven events.
Honoring Trailblazers and Celebrating Culture
This year’s Grind Honorees include notable figures like Morgan DeBaun (Founder & CEO of Blavity Inc. and AFROTECH), Jai Ferrell (CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta), Leticia Gardner (Founder of Dynamic 3 Med Spa), Grammy-nominated singer Nivea, Britni Ricard (Founder & CEO of COTA SKIN), and Cicley Gay (CEO of The Amplifiers and Founder of BLM Sports).
As the day winds down, the celebration shifts into high gear with the ATL Remix Y2K Day Party. Guests can look forward to live performances by Nivea, Jazzy Tha Rapper, and Pearl Jade, alongside an all-female DJ lineup featuring DJ Traci Steele, DJ Princess Cut, DJ Reese, and DJ Queen of Spades. It’s a perfect blend of business acumen and cultural celebration.
Grind Pretty Fest is about creating real opportunities for women while celebrating the culture that connects us. We’re creating spaces where women can network, learn, secure funding, be inspired, and still have an incredible time doing it. — Mimi Johnson, Founder of Grind Pretty Fest
