Ray J is never one to shy away from speaking his mind, and he’s recently used his platform to defend his sister, R&B superstar Brandy. In a passionate Instagram video, the singer directly addressed power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé, accusing them of ignoring Brandy during their appearances at her and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” reunion tour.
A Call for Basic Courtesy
Ray J expressed his disappointment, stating, “Jay-Z and Beyonce, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B. I don’t like that.” He elaborated, claiming that while the Carters attend multiple shows, they allegedly bypass Brandy’s dressing room without a greeting or a photo opportunity. He emphasized that even though Brandy might not care, he feels compelled to speak up.
He pleaded, “Come on, Jay, come on, Bey, let’s do the right thing.” Ray J acknowledged that his sister and their family might not approve of his public comments, even admitting he might get in trouble for sharing his feelings, but he felt it was necessary. He concluded by reiterating his love for Jay-Z and Beyoncé, despite his criticism.
Tour Highlights and Celebrity Attendees
The “The Boy Is Mine” tour has been a major event, reuniting Brandy and Monica for a highly anticipated run. The tour has also seen notable celebrity appearances, including Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the New Jersey and Los Angeles stops. Photos have surfaced showing the power couple posing with Monica, Kelly Rowland (a former Destiny’s Child member), and other stars like Patti LaBelle.
Will the Carters Respond?
It’s unlikely that Jay-Z and Beyoncé will publicly address Ray J’s comments directly. However, the situation has certainly sparked conversation among fans. Perhaps, before the tour concludes on December 14th, fans might finally see that picture of Beyoncé and Brandy together backstage, a gesture that could potentially mend the perceived slight.
