Ray J is never one to shy away from speaking his mind, and his latest social media post is no exception. The singer and reality star recently took to Instagram to call out power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé for their alleged behavior during his sister Brandy’s recent tour with Monica, titled ‘The Boy Is Mine’ tour.
Ray J’s Grievances with the Carters
In a video shared online, Ray J expressed his disappointment that Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who reportedly attended multiple shows, never made an effort to greet or speak with Brandy. “N****a need to pull up when they pull up to the show,” Ray J stated in the clip. “Come on, say ‘what’s up’ to Brandy. JAY-Z and Beyonce, for y’all to come to every show and not speak to B. I don’t like that.”
He emphasized his respect for the couple, adding, “I love you, Jay, and I love you, Bey. Y’all the two biggest stars in the world.” However, he clearly felt they could have shown more support to his sister, a fellow music icon.
Family Not in the Loop
Interestingly, Ray J admitted in his Instagram caption that neither Brandy nor the rest of their family knew he was planning to post the video. He acknowledged that Brandy was intensely focused on delivering great performances and that he might get in trouble for speaking out. “THIS IS COMING FROM THE HEART!! And I LOVE MY FAMILY AND I LOVE JAY AND BEY!! —-BRANDY AND THE FAMILY DID NOT CO-SIGN THIS!,” he wrote.
This public call-out comes shortly after Ray J’s own recent legal troubles. He was arrested following a heated argument with his ex-wife, Princess Love, during a livestream, where he allegedly brandished a gun. The incident led to a temporary stay in jail and a ban from Twitch, though he was later released and shared his experiences from incarceration.
A History of Support and Sisterhood
Despite Ray J’s current critique, the bond between Brandy and Beyoncé is well-documented. They have a long history, and Beyoncé has often spoken highly of Brandy’s influence on her career. This makes Ray J’s comments particularly noteworthy, as he seems to be calling for a more visible display of support from one music legend to another.

Whether Jay-Z and Beyoncé will respond to Ray J’s public plea remains to be seen. For now, the music world is buzzing about this unexpected celebrity commentary, highlighting the complex dynamics within the industry and the importance of showing up for fellow artists.
