Diddy Funds Thanksgiving Meals for Fort Dix Inmates

While many spent Thanksgiving with family, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs used the holiday to bring a sense of community and comfort to his fellow inmates at FCI Fort Dix. The entertainment mogul didn’t just participate in the holiday; he helped fund and organize a special Thanksgiving dinner for hundreds of prisoners.

A Taste of Home and Family

According to reports, Diddy funded the entire meal, purchasing food from the prison commissary and overseeing its preparation over two days. The meals were then distributed to every housing unit within the facility, ensuring a festive holiday experience for all.

Diddy shared his motivation behind the initiative, stating, “Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat. Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”

Brotherhood Behind Bars

The effort was organized in collaboration with a group called Bankroll Bosses at the facility. A former gang leader involved in the organization, known as B.I., mentioned that they prepared enough food for about 200 people per building, a significant undertaking that took two days.

Diddy, who is currently serving a 50-month sentence following his conviction on charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution, appears to be adapting to prison life. He described the environment as having a “strong brotherhood” where inmates look out for one another, calling it “a little bit of home in a dark place.”

Looking Towards Release

His expected release date is May 28, 2028, but he may be eligible for an earlier departure if he successfully completes a drug treatment program offered at the facility. This program is designed to potentially shorten his sentence upon successful completion.

Diddy’s actions highlight a desire to foster positivity and community, even within the confines of incarceration, making the holiday season a little brighter for those around him.
