Nicki Minaj’s $20M Mansion Faces Forced Sale

It looks like Nicki Minaj’s luxurious Hidden Hills mansion might be heading to the auction block. A Los Angeles judge is reportedly ready to order the forced sale of the $20 million estate to settle a significant unpaid judgment.

A Security Guard’s Long Wait for Payment

The issue stems from a $500,000 judgment owed to Thomas Weidenmuller, a former security guard. Weidenmuller claims he suffered a broken jaw and other serious injuries during an alleged backstage assault involving Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, back in 2019 during a show in Frankfurt.

According to court documents, neither Minaj nor Petty have paid any part of the judgment awarded to Weidenmuller. The guard has reportedly exhausted all other avenues to collect the owed funds, including written requests and levies, before seeking the court’s intervention to force the sale of the property.

The Judge’s Tentative Ruling

Judge Cindy Pánuco indicated on Monday, November 24th, that she’s inclined to grant the motion for a forced sale. The only detail holding up the final ruling is a pending mortgage statement from Bank of America, which will clarify the remaining balance on Minaj’s $13.3 million loan.

With the mansion valued at $20 million, the court believes a sale would not only cover the judgment and any outstanding liens but also leave Minaj with millions after accounting for her homestead exemption. This suggests ample funds would be available to satisfy Weidenmuller’s claim.

What Happens Next?

A follow-up hearing is scheduled for January 22nd. This is when the judge expects to receive the final bank documents and make a definitive ruling. If the judge approves the forced sale, Minaj’s Hidden Hills home, listed as her sole property, will be put on the market to settle the debt.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Petty faces separate legal challenges, including a sexual assault lawsuit connected to his 1994 attempted rape conviction. He has a history of legal troubles, including charges for failing to register as a sex offender and violating probation.
