Clipse Promises More New Music Soon

Get ready, hip-hop fans! After a significant hiatus and a triumphant return with their album ‘Let God Sort Em Out,’ Clipse is signaling that this reunion is just the beginning. Malice, one half of the legendary Virginia Beach duo, has promised that more new music from Clipse is on the horizon, much sooner than fans might expect.

More Music on the Way

In a recent conversation with Rolling Stone, Malice (Gene Thornton) was asked if fans would have to wait another 16 years for new material, referencing the gap between ‘Til The Casket Drops’ and their latest release. His response was a definitive “No way.” He enthusiastically stated, “Listen, we just got here, man. There’s plenty more.”

While a specific timeline for the next release remains under wraps, the brothers were reportedly on a Zoom call with Rolling Stone from a studio in their hometown, a promising hint that new music is actively in the works. Given the critical acclaim and fan excitement surrounding ‘Let God Sort Em Out,’ the anticipation for more Clipse material is undoubtedly high.

Reverting to the Clipse Brand

Malice also reflected on his decision to revert his stage name back to Malice from No Malice for the reunion. He explained to The Hollywood Reporter that while his personal convictions and heart have evolved, he felt it was important to honor the original branding of Clipse. “I never wanted to try to do Clipse with a little tweak or a little change. Clipse will always remain Clipse. It’s who we are when we come together and it’s who the fans know it to be,” he shared.

This commitment to the authentic Clipse identity is evident in their current tour celebrating ‘Let God Sort Em Out.’ The duo has several remaining shows in December and festival appearances scheduled for next year, giving fans plenty of opportunities to experience their powerful comeback live.
