Things are heating up in the hip-hop world as the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. has filed a new lawsuit. This legal action is a direct response to allegations made earlier this year by publicist Jonathan Hay, which involved Biggie’s son, CJ Wallace, and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The Original Allegations and CJ Wallace’s Involvement
Back in July 2025, Jonathan Hay sued CJ Wallace. Hay claimed that Wallace was part of a group that lured him to a Revolt TV location in 2020. According to Hay’s lawsuit, once there, Diddy allegedly subjected him to a disturbing encounter, including attempted oral sex, masturbating into one of Biggie’s old t-shirts and throwing it at him, and other forms of groping. Hay also claimed Diddy stated they would no longer be working together.
This lawsuit brought serious accusations to light, casting a shadow over CJ Wallace and Diddy. However, the situation has now taken another turn as Biggie’s estate steps in to defend his son and legacy.
Biggie’s Estate Fights Back
According to exclusive reporting by AllHipHop’s Grouchy Greg Watkins, Biggie’s estate alleges that Jonathan Hay began spreading these “false and malicious narratives” because the estate refused to release his 2020 “Ready to Dance” remixes. This suggests a motive rooted in professional disappointment rather than factual claims.
The estate’s lawsuit points out a stark contrast in Hay’s previous statements about CJ Wallace. In 2021, Hay reportedly wrote, “I have absolutely loved working with CJ and you guys as it’s truly been an honor and a privilege… I have NO issues whatsoever with anyone else outside of Willie. It’s been a complete joy working with all of you.” This past positive sentiment is now being used to challenge the credibility of his recent accusations.
Seeking Damages and Vindication
Biggie’s estate is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages, arguing that Hay’s allegations have negatively impacted CJ Wallace’s career and led to lost work opportunities. They are fighting to clear Wallace’s name and protect the legacy of the late hip-hop icon.
Diddy’s team has previously denied Hay’s allegations on his behalf. A statement from his representatives asserted, “Mr. Combs’s trial and acquittal on trafficking and RICO charges proves what we have been saying all along: Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone… He will fight for as long as necessary to win his full vindication.”
