Kayla Nicole Apologizes for Old Tweets

Influencer Kayla Nicole has issued a sincere apology after a wave of her old, offensive tweets resurfaced online, prompting her to delete her X (formerly Twitter) account. The apology comes a week after fans, particularly Taylor Swift’s fanbase (Swifties), uncovered the controversial posts from years ago.

Taking Responsibility for Past Words

In a statement shared on her Instagram Stories, Nicole expressed deep regret for the hurtful nature of her past comments. “I want to take a moment to sincerely apologize for the hurtful tweets I posted so many years ago,” she stated. “Reading them now, I’m ashamed that I ever thought or spoke that way. They were ignorant, hurtful and completely wrong.”

The resurfaced tweets, dating back to 2010 and 2014, reportedly included homophobic slurs and derogatory remarks about people from Mexico and India. Nicole emphasized that the person she is today would never use such language or express those views, highlighting her growth and understanding of the harm caused by online hate.

Deleting the Past, Moving Forward

Nicole explained her decision to delete her X account entirely, stating, “I refuse to keep that energy alive or contribute to a cycle of hate.” She concluded her statement by taking full responsibility and apologizing to anyone who may have been hurt by her words, reaffirming her commitment to empathy, love, and respect.

This apology follows speculation that Nicole’s recent viral Toni Braxton ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’ music video recreation might have been a subtle jab at her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift. However, Nicole maintained on her podcast, ‘The Pre-Game,’ that the performance was solely a tribute to the music icon and not intended as a diss.
