Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly finding his footing at Fort Dix, a low-security federal correctional institution. After requesting to serve his 50-month sentence there to participate in the facility’s drug rehabilitation program, he’s reportedly landed a job within the prison’s chapel.
A Rewarding Role in the Chapel
Diddy’s publicist, Juda Engelmayer, shared details with CBS News, describing his new role as working in the chapel library. Engelmayer characterized the environment as “warm, respectful, and rewarding,” suggesting Diddy is taking his rehabilitation seriously.
This isn’t just any prison job; working in the chapel comes with some notable perks. Former prison officials have highlighted benefits such as access to a private, air-conditioned office. Additionally, chaplains often bring in food for religious services, which can be shared with assistants like Diddy, and the chapel serves as one of the few places where inmates can freely gather.
Focus on Rehabilitation
This news comes after reports last week that Diddy’s team denied allegations of him possessing homemade alcohol in his cell. Engelmayer reiterated that Combs is actively engaged in the Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP).
“He is fully engaged in his work, focused on growth, and committed to positive change,” Engelmayer stated, emphasizing Diddy’s dedication to his rehabilitation process from the outset.
