A$AP Rocky Sued for $1.1M Over Condo Flood

Looks like A$AP Rocky is in some hot water, and not just from the summer heat! The Harlem-born rapper is being sued for a hefty sum after a flood originating from his luxury Manhattan condo allegedly caused major damage to the unit below.

A ‘Catastrophic’ Flood

The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, claims that a leak from A$AP Rocky’s $11 million condo resulted in ‘catastrophic’ flooding. This devastating water intrusion allegedly rendered the apartment directly below his unit completely uninhabitable.

The incident reportedly occurred last December. The plaintiff, identified as Chez Ni, LLC (linked to Annie Kang), is blaming the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, and a contractor, ADE Pro Painting, for negligence. The damage is extensive, affecting fixtures, furnishings, and personal items.

The Price of the Damage

The lawsuit details the financial toll, seeking a minimum of $700,000 for the damaged property itself. On top of that, the plaintiff has incurred approximately $200,000 in expenses for alternative living arrangements and other out-of-pocket costs since the December 23, 2024, incident.

In total, Chez Ni, LLC is demanding at least $900,000 from the named parties. They are also seeking a judgment for $42,000 in remediation costs, which the condo board is attempting to charge back to Kang and her LLC. The lawsuit names not only A$AP Rocky and the painting company but also the building’s condo board and Rocky’s business manager, Tyson Beem.

A Contractor’s Statement

The owner of ADE Pro Painting provided a statement to The Independent, noting that they signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the rapper, which prevents them from sharing specific details. They also mentioned that their company has been affected and hasn’t been paid for certain services rendered.
