Hollywood is buzzing with Halloween spirit, and Raising Cane’s is leading the charge with a truly epic display! Imagine a jack-o’-lantern so massive it weighs over 2,500 pounds. That’s exactly what Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves brought to the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, proving that this fast-food chain knows how to make a statement.
A Giant Gourd Graces the Walk of Fame
This incredible, 2,518-pound pumpkin wasn’t just any pumpkin; it was a work of art. Food Network star and world-record holder Eric Jones, along with his talented team, carved it to represent the best of Hollywood and Halloween. It’s currently on display outside the TCL Chinese Theatre, a perfect spot to capture the attention of fans and tourists alike.
The unveiling event was quite the star-studded affair. Alongside Graves and Jones, Grower of the Year Emmett Andrusz were special guests like Karrueche Tran, Malika and Khadijah Haqq, Jesse Palmer, and Cory Wharton. It was a celebration of creativity, community, and the spooky season.
Raising Cane’s: Spreading Halloween Joy Nationwide
Todd Graves shared his passion for Halloween, explaining his vision behind these colossal pumpkins. “I’ve always loved Halloweens and jack-o’-lanterns and dreamed of having the biggest pumpkin in the world,” he said. This year, Raising Cane’s boasts the first and second largest pumpkins in the country, with one in Hollywood and another in Times Square, New York City.
His goal is simple: to inspire. “I want kids to walk by this pumpkin and know that they can be a grower or a carver – or anything they want to be – and have the opportunity to bring joy to so many people through their passions,” Graves explained. It’s a sweet message about pursuing your dreams.
A Grower’s Dream
Emmett Andrusz, the Grower of the Year, expressed his excitement about being part of this monumental event. “Seeing everything come to life is very rewarding and I love that we have the opportunity to share our pumpkin with so many people,” he shared. He even hinted at bigger plans for next year, aiming for a pumpkin over 3,000 pounds!
Karrueche Tran’s Take on Cane’s and Halloween
We caught up with Karrueche Tran at the event, and she had nothing but praise for Raising Cane’s. She mentioned falling in love with the brand while filming in New Orleans and loves how they consistently “collab with the culture” and create fun experiences. It’s clear she’s a big fan of their community engagement.
When asked about her own Halloween plans, Karrueche admitted she’s keeping things pretty low-key this year. “I did a pumpkin decorating party for my nieces and nephews, so that was enough for me. Now, it’s all about the kids,” she told BOSSIP. So, don’t expect any elaborate costumes from her this year, but she’s definitely embracing the spirit through family fun.
A Sweet Tradition
Raising Cane’s Halloween traditions go way back. It all started 28 years ago when founder Todd Graves began gifting his crew “ghost pops.” What started as a small gesture has blossomed into a company-wide celebration, with over 65,000 crew members worldwide now participating in the Halloween fun.
