Tragic news has emerged for former ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’ star Masika Kalysha. She has confirmed the devastating passing of her estranged husband, Jamar Champ. Details of the Fatal Accident
According to a news release from the Houston Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after midnight on the 6600 block of the Katy Freeway. A silver BMW was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when it collided head-on with a gold Tesla Cybertruck. The impact caused the BMW to catch fire, and the Cybertruck then collided with an 18-wheeler. Police identified the driver of the Cybertruck as Jamar Champ, who was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead. He was 38 years old. The driver of the BMW also died in the crash, while the 18-wheeler driver escaped unharmed.
Champ was later identified by friends and family, confirming the identity of the victim in the devastating collision.

She further expressed her need for support, taking to Instagram to write, “💔 please pray for me and my girls.” Kalysha and Champ married in 2021 and share a 3-year-old daughter, Amari. Despite their marital status, Kalysha had previously revealed in late 2023 that they had been separated for the year and were undergoing mediation in 2024, indicating they were heading towards divorce.
