Papoose Allegedly Hits Comedian with Book for Trolling Claressa Shields

Rapper Papoose reportedly resorted to physical action after comedian Gerald Huston trolled his girlfriend, boxing champion Claressa Shields, at a recent event. Huston approached Shields, mistaking her for Serena Williams, and persisted despite being asked to leave, leading to Papoose’s alleged intervention.

The Encounter and Alleged Assault

Huston recounted the incident during a livestream, claiming, “Papoose done hit me with a book. Play silly games, win silly prizes.” Shields later provided more details during her own livestream, explaining that she didn’t recognize Huston and was in the middle of an important conversation when he approached her. After repeatedly asking him to back off, Papoose allegedly stepped in to defend her.

“All of us who was around looked at him like, ‘Bro, what is you doing?’” Shields explained, as seen in a clip shared by The Shade Room. She added that the situation might have ended differently for Huston if he had simply asked for permission before attempting to troll her.

Social Media Reacts to the Incident

The alleged interaction has sparked considerable discussion on social media, with many users agreeing that Huston “got lucky.” Comments ranged from “He better be glad she didn’t hit him tf 😂” to “This is the second time I’ve heard of Papoose knocking somebody out. Moral of the story stop playing with him.” At the time of reporting, Papoose had not publicly addressed the incident.

The couple’s strong bond has been evident for months, with Shields even unveiling a tattoo of Papoose’s name on her chest in July, further highlighting their close relationship. This alleged defense of Shields by Papoose underscores the protective nature of their partnership.
