The duo were enjoying a meal at Houston’s CuVee’s Culinary Creations when a vehicle unexpectedly crashed through the restaurant’s window, narrowly missing them.
A Dinner Turned Dangerous
The terrifying incident occurred while Nina and Patrick were filming their dining experience. An SUV plowed into the establishment, sending glass flying. Patrick Blackwood, who was seated closest to the impact, was able to move out of the way without immediate assistance, a moment he later described as a wake-up call.
Blackwood shared his gratitude for surviving, posting online, “Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose! Live bold, love deep, and make every moment count.” His words reflect a profound appreciation for life after such a close call.
Faith and Gratitude
NinaUnrated also shared her experience, posting photos from the hospital and ambulance. She attributed her survival to her faith and her beloved dog, Loyal, calling him her “angel pup.” “It hit us directly me on his left, him on my right as I bit into a delicious salmon slider,” she recounted. “Out of nowhere, but we survived.”
This harrowing event gave Nina a new perspective on life. “This experience showed me who truly matters; life’s too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the now, and cherish those around you this could’ve been our last meal,” she shared, emphasizing the importance of cherishing loved ones and living in the present moment.
An Unexplained Accident
The driver of the SUV, who was reportedly at the restaurant for a private event, could not recall how the crash occurred. Authorities confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, classifying the incident as a freak accident. Despite the driver’s lack of impairment, the restaurant is seeking accountability for the significant damages sustained.
