The political sparring between Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Rep. Jasmine Crockett shows no signs of cooling down. Greene recently appeared on The Megyn Kelly Show, reigniting the feud by calling the Texas Democrat a “fraud” and continuing to criticize Crockett’s appearance, specifically referencing the “fake eyelashes” that became a focal point during a heated House Oversight Committee meeting.
Greene’s Continued Criticism of Crockett
During the interview, Greene recounted the viral exchange, stating she commented on Crockett’s eyelashes obstructing her ability to read information during a hearing on Attorney General Merrick Garland. “She is running off her mouth, and I shot at her about her massively huge fake eyelashes,” Greene told Kelly. Crockett, in turn, fired back, leading to a brief but intense exchange before Rep. James Comer intervened. Greene also criticized Rep. Anna Paulina Luna for telling Crockett to “calm down” while Greene herself had initiated the personal attack.
Despite claiming the comment was “hilarious” and that she stays active in the gym, Greene’s continued focus on the incident suggests it struck a nerve. Kelly also weighed in, labeling Crockett’s remark as “low.”
Accusations of Fraud and Poor Treatment
Greene further accused Crockett of hypocrisy, given the Democrats’ stance against body shaming, and alleged that Crockett treats her staff poorly, calling her “fake” and claiming she makes young male staffers carry her handbag and provide pillows for her comfort. Greene also questioned Crockett’s authenticity in representing the “Black American struggle,” citing Crockett’s private school education and law school background as evidence of her being a “complete fake.”
In contrast to Greene’s continued criticism, Crockett has turned the viral moment into an opportunity. She has filed to trademark the phrase “B6” and launched a merchandise line called the “B6 Crockett Clapback Collection,” with proceeds reportedly supporting her House campaign. Many supporters, particularly Black women, have lauded Crockett’s response, seeing it as a powerful reclamation of her narrative against unfair targeting.
