  • d4vd’s Former Mansion Linked to Celeste Rivas Case for Rent

In the ongoing and deeply concerning case involving Celeste Rivas, a new development has emerged regarding the Hollywood Hills mansion previously rented by artist d4vd. While d4vd himself has remained publicly silent amid the investigation, where he is reportedly now considered a suspect, the property associated with the tragic discovery is slated to become available for rent.

A Mansion with a Troubling Past

Readers may recall that Celeste Rivas’ body was discovered in a Tesla registered to d4vd. This vehicle was found parked less than half a mile from the mansion d4vd was renting at the time. Now, according to reports from The New York Post, this very house is preparing to hit the rental market with a price tag of $20,000 per month.

A real estate agent involved reportedly stated that the property is currently a “work in progress” and will soon be listed. This news follows a series of significant updates in the Rivas case, including authorities raiding the rented home back in September to collect evidence like computers and other personal belongings. It’s common for property owners to undertake renovations and fresh painting after such events before relisting.

Unanswered Questions in the Celeste Rivas Case

Despite these updates, the investigation into Celeste Rivas’ death remains far from conclusive. Reports suggest that her body may have been frozen and dismembered before its discovery, making it extremely difficult for the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner to determine a definitive cause of death. This lack of clarity complicates the entire investigation.

d4vd is reportedly one of two suspects in the case, though updates from the LAPD have seemed conflicting. Initially, after news of a second, unidentified suspect emerged, authorities suggested that the crime might not involve murder but rather the concealment of a body. However, recent allegations about d4vd’s alleged lack of cooperation have puzzled many and seem to have brought homicide suspicions back into focus.

    The Road Ahead

As of now, no arrests have been made. The key to moving forward lies in determining Celeste Rivas’ cause of death. Without that crucial piece of information, uncovering the full truth behind this tragedy will remain a significant challenge. We’ll be keeping an eye out for further official statements from investigative and medical authorities.

  • R. Kelly’s Chicago Mansion Sells for $1.6M

The notorious Chicago mansion once owned by convicted singer R. Kelly has finally found a new owner. The sprawling 21,000-square-foot estate, famously dubbed the “Chocolate Factory” by Kelly himself, sold for $1.6 million, a price significantly lower than its initial asking price of $3.5 million.

A Steep Discount for a Storied Property

The property, which housed a studio where Kelly recorded many of his songs, was purchased for less than half of its original asking price. The mansion’s history with the convicted singer undoubtedly added a layer of notoriety, though it also presented challenges in marketing the property.

The mansion was acquired in 2013 by the late Rudolph Isley of The Isley Brothers and his wife, Elaine, for $587,500. Reports indicate the property was in disrepair upon their purchase, with issues like floodwater in the basement, mold, and rot. The Isleys invested considerable funds into restoring the estate.

    Challenges and Celebrity Lineage

Alex Wolking, the realtor who handled the sale, noted that high property taxes were the biggest challenge in selling the estate. The initial tax bill exceeded $250,000, based on an assessed value of nearly $4.7 million. However, an successful appeal reduced the assessed value to $2.6 million, making the property more attractive to buyers.

Wolking admitted that while the Isley Brothers’ connection to the property generated significant marketing attention, the R. Kelly association ultimately proved to be a key factor in attracting buyers, despite the lower sale price. He described the mansion as “one of the most storied and iconic homes in Chicagoland,” noting that properties with such celebrity lineage are rare in the Midwest.

    R. Kelly is currently serving a 30-year sentence on racketeering and sex trafficking charges at a federal correctional facility in Butner, North Carolina.
