It seems Khloe Kardashian is regretting her participation in Lamar Odom’s recent documentary, ‘Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom.’ The reality star recently shared her candid feelings, admitting she feels ‘dumb’ for appearing in the project, which she considered a ‘favor’ for her ex-husband.
The Documentary’s Controversial Claims
The Netflix documentary, released last month, aimed to shed light on Odom’s life, struggles, and comeback. However, it also reignited discussions about his past marriage to Kardashian. The controversy stems from a claim allegedly made by one of Odom’s friends within the documentary, suggesting that he married Khloé back in September 2009 to leverage her “mad connections” for his “future.”
This particular allegation didn’t sit well with Khloé, now 41. She publicly called the claim “insane” and pointed out that Odom himself hadn’t made such statements for years. The timing of this narrative resurfacing, coinciding with the documentary’s release and renewed public interest in Odom, has understandably fueled Khloé’s frustration.
Feeling Used and Discredited
Khloé didn’t hold back when describing her feelings of being used. She stated, “You’re asking me to be in your documentary and behind the scenes, you and your friends are all saying you were with me just for fame? That’s some f–ked up s–t. I feel so dumb. I spent hours and time doing this documentary as a favor. I’m not paid one penny.”
Her emphasis on not being paid highlights her genuine intent to support Odom, making the alleged behind-the-scenes narrative even more hurtful. The emotional weight of feeling “dumb” goes beyond mere frustration; it speaks to a sense of disappointment and perhaps a feeling of being betrayed by someone she trusted.
Accusations of Slander
Khloé’s frustration didn’t end there. She accused the retired NBA player, 49, of “pissing [her] off” by inviting her to participate only to allegedly “insinuat[e] [she’s] a liar” and discredit her afterward. She also noted Odom’s recent media appearances where he seems annoyed with her and claims she wasn’t the one who helped him after his near-fatal 2015 overdose.
“For years, he was singing my praises,” Khloé stated, “You’re not now gonna s–t on me and play in my face because you don’t like the reaction and the response from the public. … He’s trying to sort of slander me a little, which frustrates me.”
