  • Falcons Stars’ Aunt Killed in Parking Lot Crash

A devastating tragedy has struck the family of Atlanta Falcons stars A.J. and Avieon Terrell. Their beloved aunt, Giselle Terrell Perry, was killed in a horrific car crash on May 6th. This senseless accident occurred while she was simply waiting for a family member outside a Kroger supermarket in Decatur, Georgia.

    A Peaceful Moment Turned Tragic

According to reports from WSB-TV and Atlanta News First, Giselle Perry, 49, was sitting in her parked car around 3:20 p.m. She was patiently waiting for her mother to finish shopping inside the store. Tragically, her life was cut short when another driver slammed into her vehicle.

The impact was so severe that it propelled Giselle’s car into a metal pole and onto the sidewalk. The force of the collision was immense, with witnesses describing the scene as looking like “two of the cars had been in an explosion.” Another witness likened the speeding vehicle to a “missile.”

    Devastating Impact and Injuries

The crash tragically claimed Giselle’s life. Sadly, a pedestrian who was also in the parking lot was struck and seriously injured, requiring hospitalization. The driver responsible for the collision was also hospitalized.

The daughter of the driver involved has spoken out, suggesting her mother may have blacked out behind the wheel. She expressed deep sorrow for the Perry family and stated her mother feels “terrible” about the tragic outcome.

    A Cherished Family Member Remembered

The loss has deeply affected the Terrell family. Giselle’s husband, Laddyan Perry, shared his grief, describing her as “great, gorgeous, everything that’s good.” The Atlanta Falcons players also took to Instagram to mourn their aunt.

A.J. Terrell posted a photo of his aunt with the poignant caption, “I can still hear you.” Avieon Terrell shared a video of Giselle cheering him on during a high school football game, remembering her as “one of my biggest supporters.”

  • Ex-NFL Player Jamal Anderson Arrested for DV

Jamal Anderson, a former running back for the Atlanta Falcons, has been arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence in Los Angeles. The incident reportedly occurred on November 5th, leading to the 53-year-old former NFL star’s detainment.

    Details of the Arrest

According to NBC Los Angeles, police responded to a call at Anderson’s San Fernando Valley home around 11 a.m. Officers allege that Anderson was involved in a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation, during which he allegedly strangled the victim. Paramedics were called to the scene, but the victim reportedly declined medical treatment.

Anderson was subsequently taken into custody. Los Angeles County jail records indicate he was released after posting a $50,000 bond. While initial reports lacked information on upcoming court dates, The New York Post has indicated a scheduled court appearance for December 3rd at 8:30 a.m.

Anderson’s NFL Career and Past Legal Issues

Jamal Anderson played his entire NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons after being selected in the seventh round of the 1994 draft. He retired in 2001 following a knee injury. Born in Woodland Hills, California, Anderson played high school football locally before attending Moorpark College and the University of Utah. His most notable season was in 1998, where he achieved 1,846 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns, earning him a Pro Bowl selection despite the Falcons’ Super Bowl loss that year.

Sadly, this is not Anderson’s first encounter with the law. WSB-TV reports several arrests in Georgia since his retirement from the NFL. These include a 2009 arrest for suspected cocaine possession, an alleged indecent exposure incident in 2016 (where charges were not pressed), and a 2018 arrest following a dispute over a $50 limo fare. He has also faced multiple Driving Under the Influence (DUI) charges in various Georgia counties.
