Marc Lamont Hill Clashes with Joe Budden Over Megan Thee Stallion & Klay Thompson Breakup

Things got heated on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast when social justice activist Marc Lamont Hill and host Joe Budden clashed over the recent breakup between Megan Thee Stallion and NBA star Klay Thompson. The debate centered on blame and responsibility in relationships, particularly concerning accusations of cheating and the concept of “lovebombing.”

Hill Criticizes Budden’s Past Comments

Hill argued that Klay Thompson should share some blame for the relationship’s demise, suggesting he engaged in “lovebombing” Megan during their time together. He brought up Budden’s own past comments on the podcast, where Budden seemingly described engaging in similar rapid relationship development. “You sat here three months ago… and you were the first n***a to say, ‘I fall in love that quick. I move a minute in 24 hours, I fall in love fast, I’m a lovebomber.’ You said all that sh*t,” Hill stated heatedly.

Hill pressed Budden, suggesting that Thompson might have exhibited the same behaviors Budden himself once described. “What I’m saying is, he might’ve done the same sh*t that your dumbass used to do. Now, all of a sudden, you don’t know what lovebombing is, you don’t know what it’s like to be smitten in 24 hours,” Hill retorted, urging Budden to listen.

Accountability in Relationships

Hill further elaborated on the responsibility he believes Thompson held. “Yes, he might’ve fallen out of love fast. I’m with you. But, what I’m saying is, you’ve got a responsibility to say something and do something about that,” Hill argued. He emphasized that at 37 years old, Thompson, described as an “assassin,” should take accountability for his actions and the expectations he sets in a relationship, especially when demonstrating affection and presence.

While Hill conceded that Megan Thee Stallion might also bear some responsibility for being “naive,” he stressed that it doesn’t absolve Thompson of his part. “At some point, we can’t act like we don’t. Now, she should know that too. That’s the naive part, but that don’t let us off the hook,” he concluded.

Aftermath of the Split

In the wake of their breakup, Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly withdrawn from her role in the Broadway production of ‘Moulin Rouge!’. Klay Thompson has not yet publicly commented on the situation or the details of the split.
