Things took a dramatic turn for influencer boxer DeenTheGreat in Miami this week, and it wasn’t for a boxing match! The content creator, whose real name is Nurideen Shahid Shabazz, found himself in legal trouble after an alleged incident at a yacht party. This isn’t the kind of spotlight anyone wants, especially when it involves serious accusations.
The Allegations Unfold
According to jail records, DeenTheGreat was booked on a felony charge of robbery/strong-arm/attempt. The situation reportedly kicked off after a woman named Destiny Aleman was asked to leave a yacht. She claims that DeenTheGreat attempted to snatch her phone as she was leaving, allegedly warning her not to entertain other men on board.
The altercation didn’t end there. Aleman told officers that Deen grabbed her forearm, leaving a minor scratch, as he tried to take her phone. This incident, which occurred on Wednesday morning, has landed the popular influencer in a Miami-Dade County correctional facility.
Ring Camera Footage and Escalation
Adding to the evidence, the yacht owner provided Ring camera footage to the police. Cops say this footage appears to show DeenTheGreat yelling for someone to get the woman’s phone and ensure she wasn’t recording him. The video reportedly depicts him making physical contact with her multiple times as she attempted to get away.
The footage allegedly shows the woman curling up on the ground, trying to protect her phone, before she eventually managed to break free. These serious accusations paint a concerning picture of the events that transpired.
DeenTheGreat’s Rising Profile
This arrest comes at a time when DeenTheGreat’s star has been rapidly ascending in the influencer and boxing worlds. Since making his pro boxing debut in 2022, he’s built a significant following through his energetic livestreams, online disputes, and viral content on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
He boasts an impressive professional boxing record, though he did recently face his first professional loss via unanimous decision in December 2025 against Amado Vargas. Just the night before his arrest, he was even seen live-streaming with Tekashi 6ix9ine, a collaboration that now seems like a stark contrast to the events of the following day.
