6ix9ine on Drake/Durk Diss: ‘God Showed Me He’s Real’

Tekashi 6ix9ine is weighing in on the 2020 Drake and Lil Durk collaboration, “Laugh Now Cry Later,” which many interpreted as a diss track aimed at him. In a recent VladTV interview, 6ix9ine shared his perspective, suggesting that the song’s impact has shifted over time due to the subsequent experiences of both Drake and Durk.

Divine Vindication?

6ix9ine boldly stated, “God has showed me that he’s real.” He feels that recent events have vindicated his past actions and perhaps even his controversial persona. He reflected on how Drake, who once seemed invincible, has faced significant challenges, including a major rap beef with Kendrick Lamar.

“Drake could literally do no wrong,” 6ix9ine commented, referring to the rapper’s seemingly untouchable status before the public scrutiny and memes that followed. This perceived shift in Drake’s standing, according to 6ix9ine, makes the 2020 diss track look different in hindsight.

Lil Durk’s Current Situation

The rapper also addressed Lil Durk’s current legal troubles. Durk was arrested in October 2024 in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot from 2022. He remains in jail without bond, with his trial anticipated in August 2026. 6ix9ine pointed out the irony of the song’s title, “Laugh Now Cry Later,” given Durk’s present circumstances.

A History of Rap Feuds

This isn’t the first time 6ix9ine has been embroiled in rap beefs. Over the years, he’s traded insults with numerous artists, including Chief Keef and Trippie Redd. He’s also had public altercations and online arguments with figures like Meek Mill and YG.

One notable exchange involved Snoop Dogg, who called 6ix9ine out for being a “federal snitch.” Snoop later posted a fiery video response, which has since been deleted, calling 6ix9ine a “rat boy” and warning him to stay away. The video included colorful insults like “funky dog-head, rainbow-head.”

6ix9ine’s latest comments suggest he feels a sense of vindication, attributing his resilience to a higher power amidst the ongoing drama and feuds within the hip-hop world.
