In a significant move to foster economic growth and support local entrepreneurs, Beasley Media Group has announced a new partnership with the Michigan Black Business Alliance (MBBA). This collaboration is set to amplify Black-owned businesses and create increased economic opportunities throughout Southeast Michigan, with a special focus on Detroit.
A Powerful Partnership for Economic Equity
Announced on May 7th, this initiative strategically connects Beasley’s Detroit radio stations – 105.9 KISS-FM, 105.1 The Bounce, and Detroit Praise – with the MBBA’s vital advocacy and business development programs. The goal is to provide a powerful platform for Black-owned businesses, connect residents with essential business resources, and strengthen community-focused initiatives across the region.
Beasley Media Group plans to leverage its extensive radio, digital, and promotional channels to spotlight MBBA programs, feature diverse Black-owned businesses, and launch campaigns centered on economic empowerment and community outreach. This effort aligns with a larger objective to enhance visibility for entrepreneurs and organizations dedicated to closing economic gaps within Detroit’s communities.
Uplifting Voices and Creating Opportunity
Matt Scarano, Vice President and Market Manager for Beasley Media Group Detroit, emphasized the partnership’s core mission: “This partnership is about using the strength of our platforms to elevate voices, create opportunity, and support the communities we serve.” He expressed pride in working with the MBBA to highlight the impactful work being done in Detroit and create a lasting positive effect.
Charity Dean, CEO of the MBBA, shared her enthusiasm, noting that the collaboration is expected to expand the organization’s reach and bolster its mission to advance economic equity for Black-owned businesses. “We are excited to partner with Beasley Media Group to further our mission of advancing economic equity and supporting Black-owned businesses,” she stated.
Building Stronger Communities
Founded in 2021, the MBBA is dedicated to reducing the racial wealth gap through policy advocacy and programs that champion sustainable Black entrepreneurship and access to economic opportunities statewide. This partnership arrives at a crucial time as Detroit continues its dialogue on fair economic growth and investment in its Black business sectors.
Through this media collaboration, both Beasley Media Group and the MBBA are hopeful about building stronger community connections and showcasing the innovation and resilience that define Detroit’s local entrepreneurs.
