Bhad Bhabie Claps Back at Appearance Critics

It seems Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) is fed up with the constant online scrutiny of her looks. The rapper recently took to her Instagram Stories to call out critics who she says are “weird” for comparing photos of her from her early teens to her current age and for accusing her of wanting to be Black.

Growing Up in the Spotlight

Bregoli, who is now 23, addressed a recent post that juxtaposed a selfie from November 2025 (when she was 22) with a photo from October 2018 (when she was 15). She expressed frustration with people expecting her to look the same, highlighting that she has simply grown up, changed her hair color, spent time in the sun, and had lip fillers. She also mentioned a nose job and fuller brows, attributing these changes to natural maturation and cosmetic enhancements.

She pointed out that the younger photo showed her at 15, feeling forced to wear a specific look by her management at the time. Bregoli emphasized that if she’d had creative control earlier, she would have presented herself differently.

Addressing Racial Accusations

The rapper, who is of Italian and Jewish heritage, specifically slammed critics who claim she wants to be Black. She highlighted the contradictory nature of these accusations, noting that in earlier posts, people called her White, while in the ‘before and after’ comparisons, they now say she looks like she wants to be Black. Bregoli finds this logic nonsensical.

She argued that people often categorize features like long nails, hairstyles, or accessories with specific races, leading them to assume anyone adopting those traits is trying to emulate that race. Bregoli used her own mother, an Italian White woman with long nails, as an example of how these associations can be flawed. She stressed that these are societal interpretations, not her own desires.

A Fierce Defense

Bregoli continued her rant, stating that no matter what she does, critics find a way to accuse her of wanting to be Black. She described these critics as “sick” and urged them to get a life rather than projecting their own misery and mental illness onto her. She firmly reiterated her identity as Italian and Jewish, raised Catholic Italian, and stated she has never wished to be any other race.

She concluded her series of posts with a defiant warning, referencing Kanye West and threatening to “go Kanye crazy” if pushed further. She also teased a new look, promising it would leave critics speechless.
