Drake’s new album, ‘ICEMAN,’ is just around the corner, and the rumor mill is buzzing with potential collaborators. While we’re all waiting for the official tracklist, a cryptic comment from rising UK rapper Fakemink has fans buzzing with excitement about a possible feature.
A Cryptic Response Sparks Speculation
After a recent show, fans approached Fakemink, asking if he would be featured on Drake’s upcoming project. His response? A simple, yet tantalizing, “Just wait.” This short reply has sent ripples of excitement through both Fakemink’s and Drake’s fanbases, fueling hopes for a first-time collaboration.
Of course, it’s important to remember that this isn’t a confirmation. Fakemink might just be giving a playful answer to a curious fan. However, the possibility certainly makes a lot of sense, especially given their previous interaction.
Why This Collaboration Makes Sense
Drake and Fakemink already have a history. They linked up last year during Drake’s Wireless Festival sets in London, with Fakemink even joining him onstage. This connection, combined with Drake’s tendency to embrace contemporary hip-hop sounds and artists on the rise, makes a feature seem very plausible.
Fakemink’s music, which often blends genres like UK drill and grime, could offer a fresh and exciting texture to Drake’s ‘ICEMAN’ project. Drake has a knack for spotting and amplifying emerging talent, and Fakemink certainly fits that bill.
Who Else Might Be on ‘ICEMAN’?
‘ICEMAN’ is set to drop on Friday, May 15th, and the speculation doesn’t stop with Fakemink. Other artists rumored to be involved include Yeat, Julia Wolf, and Central Cee, based on recent singles. Drake has also been collaborating frequently with Sexyy Red.
More intriguing are the rumors surrounding potential features from artists Drake has had past beefs with, like Future, and recent praise from Rick Ross. However, Fakemink represents one of the most exciting possibilities among the newer faces who could make a significant impact on ‘ICEMAN’.
