Get ready for a future where AI sounds more human than ever! Actor Jamie Foxx is making waves in the tech world by investing in ElevenLabs, a cutting-edge AI startup focused on voice generation. This move places Foxx among a growing list of influential figures backing the company’s ambitious vision.
ElevenLabs: Redefining Communication with AI
ElevenLabs describes itself as a free AI voice generator and voice agents platform. Their core mission? To revolutionize how businesses connect with their audiences. They believe that conversational AI agents will soon become the primary method for large-scale business-customer interactions.
Foxx joins a significant group of investors who participated in the third close of ElevenLabs’ Series D funding round. This comes after the company achieved a remarkable milestone, crossing $500 million in annual recurring revenue in 2026. The newly acquired funds are earmarked for crucial research and expanding the platform’s reach both domestically and internationally.
Future Innovations and Key Investors
Looking ahead, ElevenLabs plans to integrate image and video generation capabilities with their existing audio tools, aiming to provide comprehensive support for creatives and marketing teams. They are also developing advanced agents designed to enhance customer and employee experiences across various communication channels like voice, chat, and email.
The impressive roster of new investors includes major players like BlackRock, Wellington, NVIDIA (through its NVentures arm), and Santander. These investors share ElevenLabs’ strong belief in the future of AI-driven communication. Wellington Management’s Rob Mazzoni highlighted the transformative potential, stating, “The companies that power natural, human-like interactions at scale will become critical global infrastructure.”
A Star-Studded Investment Circle
Beyond the major financial institutions, ElevenLabs has attracted a unique group of over 30 actors, musicians, athletes, and entertainment executives. Jamie Foxx now stands alongside fellow investors like Eva Longoria and “Squid Game” creator Hwang Dong-hyuk. Existing investor Matthew McConaughey also continues his support.
Eva Longoria emphasized the impact of AI on storytelling, noting, “ElevenLabs is at the forefront of this technology, and Iām excited to invest in a company that builds with creatives in mind.” ElevenLabs itself pointed out that as AI reshapes content creation and distribution, the ability for creatives to control and expand their voice across languages and fan experiences will unlock significant new revenue streams.
