Victoria Monét: From Music Star to Culinary Graduate

Talk about multitasking! While many stars were hitting the red carpet at the Met Gala in early May 2026, Grammy-winning singer Victoria Monét was busy achieving another major life goal: graduating from culinary school. This incredible feat comes as she’s also deep in the process of creating her next music album, proving that for Monét, no ambition is too small.

A Lifelong Dream Comes True

Monét took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting a carousel of photos featuring her in her cap and gown, celebrating with champagne, and proudly holding her degree. She captioned the post, “I’m officially a Culinary School Graduate after I walk the stage tonight! Imma cry 🥹😌 @iceculinary.”

She expressed immense gratitude to her support system, including her family, daughter, trainers, teachers, and her entire team. Monét acknowledged the demanding schedule, juggling school with album creation, describing it as one of her “50 side quests” that involved “4am alarms to the late night moonlit studio endings and the 11 million things in between.”

From Music to the Kitchen

This culinary journey isn’t entirely new for her dedicated fans. Back in 2025, Monét launched a dedicated Instagram account, @itschefmonet, where she shared her passion for food, including favorite recipes and glimpses of her mother-daughter time. In a video posted last November, she shared that becoming a chef has been a “lifelong dream” and that she’s deeply passionate about generational recipes and the emotional connection food creates.

It seems the phrase “Yes Chef” will now be a regular part of her vocabulary, a fun nod to her new culinary expertise. This dual pursuit highlights Monét’s commitment to personal growth and her diverse talents beyond music.

More Than Just Music

Monét’s growth extends beyond her professional pursuits. In 2024, she released a children’s book titled “Everywhere You Are.” More recently, she bravely spoke out about her experience with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

The 37-year-old singer shared in a SiriusXM interview that she was diagnosed with PCOS relatively late, after multiple prior gynecologists hadn’t identified it. She recounted how seeing ultrasounds of cysts on her ovaries helped her understand past difficulties with conception, realizing that her body had been signaling something was amiss.

Victoria Monét’s ability to excel in multiple demanding fields simultaneously is truly inspiring. From topping charts to mastering culinary arts and advocating for important health issues, she continues to impress.
