Forget your average party; Teyana Taylor knows how to throw an event! Her exclusive ‘The Dirty Rose’ pre-Met Gala bash has become a must-attend staple, blending high fashion, electrifying cabaret, and a star-studded guest list. This year’s event at Paradise Club inside The Times Square EDITION was no exception, creating serious FOMO for anyone not on the exclusive, phone-banned list.
A Night of Fashion, Performance, and Glamour
Guests arrived understanding the assignment, dressed in slinky dresses, sharp suits, fur coats, and statement hats – all embodying the energy of a Teyana Taylor affair. The night unfolded like a full-scale production, with dancers, including Teyana herself, moving seamlessly between the stage and the crowd, keeping the energy sky-high.
Teyana kicked off the show in a dazzling crystal- and pearl-embellished bodysuit, layered with an ivory fringed coat. She later returned in a fiery red crystal look, complete with a sharp cutout and heart detail, bringing her signature ‘main character energy’ and even reviving her iconic ‘Fade’ choreography. It was pure showmanship!
Star Power Takes the Stage
The performances weren’t limited to Teyana. Niecy Nash opened the show in a vibrant red sequin romper and a dramatic feather headdress, fully embracing the cabaret theme. Danielle Brooks also took center stage, MCing the evening and delivering a captivating song-and-dance number in a stunning red-orange embellished dress with corset detailing.
As the night wound down, bellhops rolled out suitcases filled with silver flasks, followed by trays of Raising Cane’s chicken and fries. Guests also left with custom ‘Dirty Rose’ keychains, a perfect memento from an unforgettable night.
A-List Attendees
The guest list was as impressive as the performances. Spotted mingling and enjoying the festivities were powerhouses like Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Cedric the Entertainer, and Savannah James. La La Anthony stunned in a shimmering silver two-piece set, posing alongside Nia Long, who opted for a sleek black blazer look, and Gabrielle Union, who added a pop of color with a vibrant yellow floral baroque suit.
With the Met Gala just around the corner and events like Teyana’s setting the tone, it’s clear the fashion world is in full swing. We’re loving all the behind-the-scenes glimpses and gag-worthy outfits, and we can’t wait to see what the actual Met Gala red carpet brings!
