North West Drops Debut EP ‘N0rth4evr’ with LA Pop-Up

The Kardashian-West family’s creative legacy continues to grow! Twelve-year-old North West has officially stepped into the music spotlight, releasing her debut six-track EP, ‘N0rth4evr,’ on May 1st. This project marks her official introduction as both an artist and a producer, proving she’s carving out her own unique path.

A Self-Produced Masterpiece

Despite having access to some of the biggest names in the music industry, North West took the reins entirely for ‘N0rth4evr.’ She reportedly produced every single track herself, experimenting with a bold sound that fuses elements of rage-rap, hyperpop, and gothic emo. This self-driven approach highlights her burgeoning talent and distinct artistic vision.

The tracklist for ‘N0rth4evr’ includes intriguing titles like ‘H0w Sh0uld ! f33l,’ ‘D!e,’ ‘#N0rth4evr,’ ‘Th!s t!m3,’ ‘W0ah,’ and ‘Aishite (愛して).’ This release follows her earlier single, ‘PIERCING ON MY HAND,’ which she notably performed during a surprise appearance at Ye’s SoFi concert back in February.

Gothic Aesthetics and Parental Support

To accompany the EP, a music video for the title track, ‘#N0rth4evr,’ has been released. Directed by Ty Akimoto and Mack Ishida, the video showcases a dark, gothic aesthetic that departs from typical children’s content. North is featured in a striking ensemble, complete with fingerless gloves, spiked jewelry, combat boots, and a blue wig, complemented by faux under-eye piercings and blackened teeth.

This bold style has sparked conversations online, with some critics expressing concern while others applaud her parents for fostering such a fearless creative spirit. Kim Kardashian has previously stated her commitment to supporting North’s artistic choices, saying, “If she wants blue hair, it is what it is… I would never take that away from her.”

A Family Affair at the Pop-Up

To celebrate the launch, a two-day pop-up shop was held at Complex LA. The event provided a rare glimpse of family unity. On Friday, Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, attended, with Bianca sporting a matching edgy look and Ye posing for photos with fans alongside his daughter. Kim Kardashian made her appearance on Saturday, notably choosing to support North’s event over attending the F1 Miami Grand Prix.
