NBA YoungBoy’s Brother Arrested for Assault

While NBA YoungBoy himself often makes headlines for legal matters, the latest serious charges are surrounding his brother, Kendell Gaulden. Recent court filings reveal Gaulden has been arrested in Houston, facing accusations of aggravated assault and pistol-whipping a woman.

Allegations Surface in Houston

According to reports, the incident occurred on April 17, 2026. Authorities accuse Gaulden of attempting to shoot Baton Rouge rapper Lil’ Dump, who has collaborated with NBA YoungBoy in the past and is reportedly a close friend. The situation escalated when Dump’s girlfriend, identified as “Mrs. Jones” in court filings, was allegedly pistol-whipped by Gaulden.

The woman reportedly told police that she and Gaulden had been hanging out with Lil’ Dump when an argument broke out over her car. Following the dispute, Gaulden allegedly threatened to shoot her and then proceeded to pistol-whip her. During the ensuing fight between Gaulden and Lil’ Dump, one of the pistols allegedly discharged, but no bullets were fired as the magazine fell out.

Kendell Gaulden’s Legal History

This isn’t the first time Kendell Gaulden has had run-ins with the law. Court records indicate he has faced multiple charges in Texas since 2021, including evading arrest, unlawful firearm possession, and burglary. In a 2025 burglary case, he was reportedly accused of threatening a woman, fatally shooting her dog, and breaking into her home.

He was reportedly out on bail for that previous burglary case when the alleged pistol-whipping incident took place. Gaulden is currently being held in a Harris County jail and is awaiting a bond hearing scheduled for May 14, 2026.
