Rumors swirled that Porsha’s departure after Season 13 was a direct result of the backlash from her new romance with Simon Guobadia, who was then the estranged husband of fellow castmate Falynn Pina. However, Porsha insists her decision to step away from the show was entirely her own and had nothing to do with her relationship.

Speaking on the podcast ‘Reality With the King,’ Porsha explained that her break was a deliberate choice. “For the record, I left Housewives for that break when I was around 40,” she shared. “I had planned for that financially, mentally, everything. I knew I was going to give myself that time to step away.”

Addressing Relationships and Karma

Porsha’s relationship with Simon moved pretty quickly, leading to marriage and then a divorce just over a year later. When asked about the lingering tension with Falynn Pina, Porsha kept it simple: “It is what it is.” She also mused that perhaps the public reaction to her romance might have been different if she had been more open about things at the time.

And what about karma following her split from Simon? Porsha pushed back against that idea, stating, “Well, if it was my karma, it’s good karma.” She elaborated, “I’m in a great place, you know? Although I loved him and I would have loved for our relationship to work out, what’s best is where I am now. Sometimes, when you marry someone, no matter what your intentions are, how hard you work at trying to make it…it just doesn’t work out.”
