Latto Confirms Pregnancy Video Was Real

In today’s digital age, distinguishing between reality and AI can be tricky, and rapper Latto found herself at the center of this confusion. A video of her tenderly touching her baby bump, which surfaced in February, had fans debating whether it was real or an AI-generated fabrication. Now, Latto is setting the record straight: the clip was completely authentic and, as it turns out, accidentally posted.

An Accidental Reveal

Latto explained the situation during a behind-the-scenes chat with GloRilla while working on their new music video for “GOMF.” She revealed that the video was intended for her TikTok, but in a moment of confusion, she accidentally uploaded it to her TikTok Story. “It was an accident,” Latto shared with a laugh. “I had just shot the video, boom. I’m talking in the car, look down — the TikTok not there. I’m like, ‘but it’s not on my page.’”

By the time Latto realized her mistake and deleted the clip, about 77 people had already seen it. “Auntie don’t know about that TikTok story,” she joked, certain that fans had already screen-recorded the footage. The video showed Latto rubbing her belly, enjoying a lollipop, and mouthing a popular line from Love Island: “I’m a mommy.”

Pregnancy Announcement and Speculation

Latto officially announced her pregnancy on March 20th, coinciding with the release of the cover art for her upcoming project, Big Mama. The cover features her cradling a baby cheetah cub. Shortly after, she released the music video for “Business & Personal,” which included intimate moments showcasing her baby bump and childhood throwbacks.

Speculation has been rampant that rapper 21 Savage might be the father. Fans pointed to clues in Latto’s music video, such as childhood photos that appeared to be of 21 Savage and a tattooed hand touching her stomach that matched his distinctive ink. Further fueling the rumors, her baby shower invitations and decorations reportedly featured their government names (Alyssa and Shéyaa) and a knife symbol, a reference to 21 Savage’s forehead tattoo.
