PK Kemsley: ‘RHOBH’ Impacted My Marriage to Dorit

It’s always fascinating to hear the behind-the-scenes thoughts of reality TV stars, and PK Kemsley is offering a candid look at his marriage to Dorit Kemsley and the impact of their time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In a recent chat on the We Need to Talk podcast, PK reflected on how joining the show might have altered their relationship’s trajectory.

The Show’s Influence

While PK is careful not to directly blame the show for their divorce, he admits it’s a question that lingers. “I’m not blaming that show for my divorce,” he stated. “I think the biggest question that I have that will never be answered is, was Dorit always going to end up where she is now, or was I responsible for putting her in that world?” This highlights the complex nature of fame and its potential effects on personal lives.

He fondly recalled happier times before the cameras rolled, reminiscing about their life in New York. “If you talk about happy times, I remember living in Tribeca, we had a beautiful apartment, and then we had the baby, and life was pretty f–king good,” PK shared. These memories paint a picture of a life that felt simpler and perhaps more stable before the demands of reality television.

Taking Responsibility

Interestingly, PK admitted that the idea of joining the show was largely his initiative after their family relocated to Los Angeles. “Who drove the bus into the wall? Me,” he confessed, taking ownership of the decision that may have led to significant changes in their lives. He believes the show can warp perceptions, creating narratives that participants start to believe.

This distortion, he explained, can be unsettling. “I’m looking at my wife and saying, ‘Who are you?’ It’s scary when you look at it,” PK said, describing the unsettling feeling of seeing someone you know intimately change under the influence of the show’s environment.

Focusing on Family

The former couple announced their separation in 2024, with Dorit officially filing for divorce in 2025. They share two children, and PK emphasized his commitment to protecting them. “I do not want to litigate my divorce publicly,” he stated. “The only real victims are going to be the kids.”
