Rory & Mal Question Drake’s ‘ICEMAN’ Album Rumors

Is Drake’s highly anticipated ninth studio album, ‘ICEMAN,’ about to drop? Music influencer Anthony Fantano certainly thinks so, but not everyone is convinced. Rory and Mal, hosts of the popular podcast, are calling out Fantano for his recent claims.

Fantano’s Bold Prediction

Earlier this week, Fantano took to TikTok to announce that an inside source told him ‘ICEMAN’ would be released within the next 36 hours. The video sparked a mix of excitement and skepticism among viewers, with many wondering if he was serious or just trolling, perhaps in response to DJ Akademiks’ frequent claims of exclusive Drake news.

During a recent episode of their podcast, Rory and Mal addressed Fantano’s announcement directly. They made it clear they aren’t buying the hype, with Mal stating, “I don’t know who his sources are, but his sources are wrong.”

Hints of ‘Project Bot’ and ‘The Iceman’s’ Arrival

While the exact release date for ‘ICEMAN’ remains a mystery, fans have received some intriguing hints. Drake himself recently shared an article about a controlled explosion in his hometown of Toronto on his Instagram Story, adding halo and ice cube emojis. This led to speculation that it might have been for a music video shoot, with local filming notifications referring to the event as ‘PROJECT BOT.’

Adding fuel to the fire, DJ Akademiks also tweeted, “THE ICEMAN IS COMING. STAY ALERT!” However, like Fantano’s claims, these teasers are being met with caution, as Akademiks has been hinting at the album’s imminent release for months.

Skepticism Amidst the Hype

The music world is no stranger to album release speculation, and Drake’s projects often generate significant buzz. However, Rory and Mal’s skepticism highlights the importance of reliable sources in a landscape often filled with rumors and deliberate misdirection.

For now, fans will have to wait and see when ‘ICEMAN’ will officially drop. Whether it’s days or months away, the anticipation continues to build.
