A grieving family in South Jersey is desperately seeking answers following the sudden and mysterious death of their daughter, 31-year-old Ashly Robinson, also known by her online persona Ashlee Jenae. She passed away while on a trip to Zanzibar, Tanzania, a journey meant to celebrate her birthday and a new chapter in her life.
A Trip Turned Tragic
According to her parents, Ashly had recently gotten engaged during her trip and seemed incredibly happy in their last conversations. However, the timeline surrounding her death has raised serious concerns and fueled a deep sense of mystery for her loved ones.
Her mother, Yolanda Denise Endres, shared that Ashly called on April 8th, mentioning she and her fiancé had argued and were staying in separate rooms. The next day, the fiancé contacted Endres with devastating news: Ashly had allegedly harmed herself and was being taken to the hospital, though he claimed she was stable. Tragically, he revealed this had happened 11 hours prior.
Conflicting Reports and Unanswered Questions
Hours after that call, the family received word from the resort that Ashly had died. Medical reports reviewed by the family noted an unidentified mark around her neck, with one account suggesting she was found hanging on a door. A subsequent hospital report listed the cause of death as cerebral hypoxia due to strangulation and suffocation.
Her parents are adamant that Ashly was happy and would never have taken her own life. “She was happy,” Endres stated, emphasizing her daughter’s positive state of mind.
