Get ready, La Flame fans! Travis Scott seems to be gearing up to drop his next solo project, and the hype is officially building. After some recent collaborations with Kanye West, it appears Scott is closer than ever to releasing new music.
An Onstage Announcement
During the Fashion Trust U.S. 2026 Awards, Travis Scott made a surprise appearance onstage while Michèle Lamy accepted her Lifetime Achievement Award. After honoring Lamy, Scott shared a significant update with the audience: “I think the next thing is to probably drop the album whenever it’s ready.” The announcement was met with enthusiastic cheers, and fans online are equally excited, flooding comment sections with messages like “WE LOVE YOU TRAVIS DROP THAT SH*T.”
This isn’t the only tease Scott has given his eager fanbase. A fan-captured video recently went viral, showing Scott signing a piece of paper at a sporting event. The paper cryptically read “New album otw” with several dash marks, leading to speculation that each dash represents a letter in the project’s title.
Cryptic Clues and Collaborations
Adding to the mystery, Scott reacted to a fan page about retiring by posting a message filled with emojis and the phrase, “ALWAYS THE RAGE IS ALWAYS IN YA. IM COOKING RIGHT NOW TO GIVE U THAT NEXT STEP OF LIFE INSPO.” This cryptic message further fuels the anticipation for what he’s currently “cooking up.”
Further fueling speculation is Scott’s recent appearance with Kanye West at SoFi Stadium. During the event, Scott wore a shirt emblazoned with the word “UNSANE.” This has led to theories that it might be a hint towards his solo album or even a supposed collaborative tape with West. Havoc of Mobb Deep has previously claimed that Ye and Trav have been working on a joint project, possibly using some of his beats.
What’s Next?
With both Travis Scott and Kanye West scheduled to headline the Helwatts Festival in Italy this July, fans are hopeful that a major announcement or even a surprise performance could reveal more about Scott’s solo plans or the potential collaboration with Ye. Until then, the “new album otw” hints keep the excitement at an all-time high.
