Pooh Shiesty Denied Bond; Lawyer Questions Evidence

It’s a tough break for rapper Pooh Shiesty, who has been denied bond following his arrest on serious charges. The 26-year-old artist, accused of kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane, will be staying behind bars for the foreseeable future. This comes after a recent court appearance where a judge ruled against his release.

Denied Bond: What Happens Next?

During the bond hearing, Judge Renee Harries Toliver cited Pooh Shiesty’s existing house arrest status when he allegedly committed the crime as a key factor in her decision. “I can’t find any condition to offer that hasn’t already been granted to you,” the judge stated, indicating that releasing him again posed too great a risk.

The rapper faces a potential life sentence if convicted of the charges, which include orchestrating an “armed takeover” of a recording studio in an alleged attempt to break free from his 1017 contract. The gravity of these accusations means Pooh Shiesty will be awaiting trial in jail.

Lawyer Questions FBI’s Investigation

Outside the courthouse, Pooh Shiesty’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, spoke to reporters, expressing his surprise and questioning the strength of the prosecution’s case. Cohen pointed out that it took the FBI several months to make an arrest, suggesting this delay indicates a lack of conclusive evidence.

“The FBI doesn’t take three months to arrest someone if they believe everything that was said on the night that it occurred,” Cohen explained. He further alleged that authorities are missing crucial physical evidence, such as the supposed contract and any footage of it being signed, adding, “I’m just shocked that when they say there might be video out there — they don’t have it.”

Family Matters and Legal Battles

The legal troubles extend to Pooh Shiesty’s father, who was initially granted a $250,000 bond. However, prosecutors have since filed a motion to revoke his bond, arguing he could be a flight risk. A formal motion is expected on April 13th.

With Pooh Shiesty remaining in custody and his father facing further legal challenges, the situation highlights the complex legal battles unfolding. It remains unclear when or if Pooh Shiesty will be released before his trial.
