Lil Rel Reacts to Katt Williams’ Netflix Roast

Comedian Lil Rel Howery is sharing his reaction after a surprising discovery: he’s a featured player in Katt Williams’ latest Netflix special, ‘Katt Williams: The Last Report.’ And yes, he was roasted!

An Unexpected Punchline

During a recent stand-up performance, Howery recounted how he turned on Williams’ special hoping for a mood lift on an emotional day, particularly while thinking about his late father. Instead, he found himself the target of a joke. “This n—a got me in his Netflix special,” Howery told his audience, recalling the moment he realized Williams was building up to a bit about him.

He described the experience like a scene from ‘The Nutty Professor,’ where the character Sherman Klump is being roasted. Howery explained that after discussing celebrities and Ozempic, Williams suddenly shifted his focus to him, imitating Williams saying, “This n—a said he’s not on Ozempic.”

Bullying with Pictures?

The biggest surprise for Howery, however, came when Williams started showing photos – both old and new – of him during the special. “This n—a decided to bully me with my own pictures,” Howery joked, clearly finding humor in the situation despite the unexpected roast.

This isn’t the first time these two comedians have exchanged barbs. Howery previously referred to Williams as a “cartoon character” and even admitted on the ‘7 PM in Brooklyn’ podcast that their tension had nearly escalated to a physical confrontation at a Netflix event.

A History of Jabs

Howery, who gained widespread recognition for his breakout role in ‘Get Out’ and later starred in his own sitcom ‘Rel,’ seems to be taking Williams’ latest jabs in stride. While the history between them shows a clear rivalry, Howery’s reaction suggests a level of mutual respect or at least an ability to laugh about their comedic sparring.
