In a surprising turn of events, the FBI has claimed that Gucci Mane provided a statement to authorities regarding the alleged kidnapping and robbery involving fellow rapper Pooh Shiesty. This information surfaced during Pooh Shiesty’s detention hearing in a Dallas federal court.
FBI Affidavit Details Gucci Mane’s Involvement
FBI Special Agent Pamela Hanson stated in an affidavit that Gucci Mane did indeed provide a statement to the Dallas Police Department concerning the incident that allegedly occurred on January 10, 2026, at Luminous Studios. According to Hanson, many of the complaints relied upon by the prosecution stem from information provided by Gucci Mane and his associates.
However, Hanson also admitted that the FBI has not yet interviewed Gucci Mane or any other alleged victims. Interviews are reportedly scheduled for the near future. This revelation comes as Pooh Shiesty’s legal team challenges the basis of his arrest and the evidence presented.
Pooh Shiesty Denied Bond Amidst Legal Battle
During the hearing, Pooh Shiesty, whose real name is Lontrell Williams Jr., reportedly displayed signs of frustration and nervousness. His attorney, Bradford Cohen, questioned the timeline of the arrest and the alleged lack of physical evidence, such as guns or a contract that Pooh Shiesty supposedly made Gucci Mane sign. Despite the defense’s arguments, the 26-year-old rapper was denied bond and will remain in custody.
Cohen expressed confusion over the three-month delay between the alleged incident and Pooh Shiesty’s arrest, suggesting it indicates a lack of strong evidence. He also pointed out the absence of key physical evidence like guns, jewelry, or a signed contract, which he claims the prosecution has not produced.
