Dez Bryant Claims Offset Owes $8k Gambling Debt

In the wake of Offset being shot outside a Florida casino, details about his past dealings are surfacing. Former NFL star Dez Bryant has now claimed that Offset owes him a significant amount from a gambling debt.

A Story of Unpaid Winnings

Bryant took to X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday to share a personal anecdote involving the Migos rapper. He stated that he once won an $8,000 bet against Offset, but the rapper allegedly never paid up. Bryant recounted the moment he tried to collect his winnings.

“I beat offset out of 8k he tried to take a nap on me and I go to tap on him to wake him up..telling him I need that 8k.. his patnas saw me tapping on him..I can tell his patnas wanted to jump on some bullsh*t.. I chilled because I was by myself completely out numbered.. so I charged it to the game…” Bryant wrote.

A Near Miss and a Close Call

Adding a layer of intrigue, Bryant revealed that Offset had reached out to him just three hours before the shooting incident occurred, seemingly to discuss a “money play.” Bryant mentioned he considered the offer but declined, only to later see the news about Offset being shot.

He reflected on the situation, noting, “I thought about it and said. I’m good.. then I saw the news later on and was like damn…some people don’t play about they money.” This suggests a potential connection or at least a striking coincidence in timing.

Other Claims of Unpaid Debts

Bryant isn’t the only one to suggest Offset owes money. Radio personality Ebro Darden also claimed on his show that Offset owes him $5,000 from a Super Bowl bet. Darden mentioned he hadn’t pressed the issue, viewing it as a minor matter compared to the potential implications for Lil Tjay, who was arrested in connection with the shooting.

A spokesperson for Offset has confirmed he is “fine” and receiving medical care at the hospital following the shooting. Lil Tjay has since been released on bond.
