6ix9ine Uses Drake Track to Diss Lil Durk

It seems the rap world can’t catch a break from the ongoing feuds, and Tekashi 6ix9ine is once again at the center of the drama. Following his recent release from prison, 6ix9ine has wasted no time reigniting his long-standing beef with Lil Durk, and he’s even brought Drake into the mix to deliver his latest diss.

A Livestreamed Tirade

During a recent livestream with Adin Ross and N3on, 6ix9ine took aim at Lil Durk, who has been incarcerated since his 2024 arrest on charges related to an alleged murder-for-hire scheme. 6ix9ine used the platform to highlight Durk’s current legal situation, drawing parallels to his own past troubles.

“I’ve learned that everybody who has talked sh*t about me has an opinion until they’re in your situation,” 6ix9ine stated, referencing other artists like Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane who have also faced legal issues. He then pivoted to Durk’s contribution to Drake’s hit song ‘Laugh Now Cry Later,’ questioning the song’s title in light of Durk’s current predicament.

The ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ Connection

6ix9ine specifically called out Lil Durk’s lyrics from ‘Laugh Now Cry Later,’ where Durk raps, ‘Can you not play that lil’ boy in the club? ‘Cause we do not listen to rats.’ 6ix9ine sarcastically asked, ‘Who is laughing now and crying later?’ implying that Durk is now the one facing the consequences he once mocked.

This jab is particularly pointed, as Lil Durk has been behind bars since 2024, facing serious charges related to an alleged plot to murder Quando Rondo. Despite pleading not guilty, his legal battle is ongoing. Recently, Durk shared insights into his mental state while incarcerated, discussing his efforts to find patience through reading and his desire to promote positivity.

A History of Feuds

This isn’t the first time 6ix9ine has used his platform to target other artists, and his history with Lil Durk is well-documented. The use of Drake’s track adds another layer to this ongoing rap saga, highlighting how lyrics and past statements can be weaponized in the competitive world of hip-hop.

As Lil Durk navigates his legal challenges, 6ix9ine continues to make headlines with his provocative actions. It remains to be seen how Lil Durk or his team will respond to this latest diss.
